Utility markers are set into concrete to mark where utility lines are hidden.  Usually they are set at the time curbing is poured, but can also be set into a drilled hole with epoxy.  These high quality markers are made of brass and are 2.5" across with a 2.5" stem: 'S'-sewer, 'W'-water, and 'G'-gas.  They are sold in lots of 10 in whatever combination ordered.
